This is the iconic ‘First’ chair, designed by Michele de Lucchi for Memphis Milano. De Lucchi was one of the first designers to participate in this movement which is now considered to be the only recognized style of Decorative Arts after 1945. Remarkable are the influence of architecture and the unusual mix of materials and colours. Made of lacquered metal and wood. Signed Memphis, Milano, Italy.
