Ernst Moritz Engert Art Deco paper cut/Scherenschnitt, 1922

An Art Deco paper cut (Scherenschnitt), probably of Josephine Baker. Signed Ernst Moritz Engert (1892-1986), signed and dated 1922. In antique wooden frame. Sometimes his designs were used for printing but this is a real paper cut. Moritz Engert took the old technique of paper cutting to a whole new level with his artistic and still modern designs. His work can be found in many museums and collections worldwide.
