André Le Marquand Space Helmet watch 1972
André le Marquand is known as an architect and designer of watches. For this remarkable watch he was inspired by the 1969 moon landing; the watch resembles a space helmet. In 1972 the Spaceman watches cause a sensation at the Basle Fair. Nobody thought these strange watches could ever be sold. Nevertheless, within ten years 150.000 Spacemans were sold all over the world. This one is NOS original from 1972, never worn before. It was produced by Tressa and has an automatic movement. The brand still exists but never again such innovating and modern models were made. The case is made of chrome metal and plastic. Note that this watch fits best on a larger wrist.
