“Amsterdamse School” solid macassar ebony cupboard by Pander, The Hague

An impressive “Amsterdamse School” cupboard, made of solid macassar ebony (coromandel). Normally this type of wood is only used for decoration and/or sculptural details. The design of two geometrical towers with in between horizontal layers is similar to the design that can be found in Amsterdam School architecture.
Signed and numbered at the back: Pander, the Hague, the Netherlands. With original keys. Made ca 1930’s.
